Author's note: I was inspired with writing this long paper about a kid having to save himself and not being afraid, when I heard the song Not Afraid By Eminem. The song has nothing to do with this paper, but it just explains not to be afraid in life, and this is a great example of that. Oh, and this is based on a true story. The part where there's people in the house trying to take them away.
It was a dark night in the middle of nowhere, a little boy and his older brother were home alone. Watching scary movie after scary movie, because that's all the older watched now that he was more mature.
"Do we have to watch another scary movie?" the little boy said. "Why? Are you scared you little chicken. Bac, Bac, Bac! Chicken!" the older one says back. "No! I'm just getting bored with all of these scary movies, lets play a game or something other than this." the little boy replied. "Fine, we can play one of your little kid games." the older one said with an attitude. "Hey, I'm not little I'm four and a half. Besides this is fun game that you love. Hide and Go Seek!" the little one said with excitement. "Yeah I used to like that game when I was your age! Now that I've matured I'm more interested in texting and girls." the old one said. "Eeeew! Girls have cooties, I can't believe you actually talk to them!" the little boy yelled. "You'll understand what I'm talking about when your older." the older one tried to explain. "Whatever you say, well lets get started with Hide and Go Seek." the little one says. "Okay I will hide and you will seek." the older on says. "Okay that's fine with me." the younger one replies.
What the little boy didn't know was that the older one was going to try and scare him, so he was in for a big surprise.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 20! Ready or not Here I come! I'm going to find you right away, mom always told me where you would hide." the boys yells through the halls.
He looked in all of the places his mom had told him about, but he never find his older brother. Now he was getting pretty scared.
"Hello? Okay you can come out now I- I- I- give up." the little one says with fear in his heart. "I'm up in my room, come and find me!" the older one says. "Okay, but you better not scare me again." the little boy panics.
Every step he take getting closer to his brothers room, his heart starts to beat faster and faster. Now he's getting scared enough to go under his covers and never come out.
"Come in my room and find me, I won't scare you!" the older one insists. "I'm coming don't worry." the little boys replies.
He walks into his room and there's nobody there, so his heart stops beating fast. He walks in calmly, and turns the television on.
"Hey! I told you to find me!" the older one yells. "You lied you're not in your room!" the little one yells back. "I'm in the closet, come in and find me." the older one says.
He starts walking in to the closet, he closes his eyes just so he can't see anything if the older one tries to scare him. As he walks in something or someone jumps out and grabs him, and pulls him in the dark closet.
"Ahhhh! Let go of me you jerk!" the little boy screams. "Shhhhhh, it's me sorry I didn't mean to scare you. We need to be quiet." the older one says. "Why?" the younger one asks. "When I was hiding, I saw someone in your room, he was just sitting on the bed staring at me." the older one answers. "What?! We need to get out of here, call the cops!" the little one lightly yells. " I tried, I dialed 9 and 1 but then the man on your bed looked at me and just shook his head telling me I shouldn't do that." the older one replies. "Then we have to stop him ourselves!" the little confidently says. "You can't I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you. I'll do it by myself. You just stay in here." the older one says. "Okay, but be careful." the younger one says.
The older brother walks out of the closet, and heads for the younger ones room.
"Why would I let him do that by himself? I'm going in!" the little one says.
He runs to the side of his brother and tells him to follow him.
"What are you doing out of the closet?!" the older one asks. "I couldn't let you get hurt." the younger one answers.
The younger one goes to the basement, but then they saw the man that was in the room. So they walk into the bathroom.
"We need to make a plan, and fast." the younger one says. "Okay I got it, we can take each one done one at a time okay? Then they don't have any help, right?" the older one asks. "Well we don't know how many there are, so this could just be a trap waiting for us." the little one answers. "Good point. We still have to try it, because that's frankly the only plan I've got." the older one replies.
They both slowly walk out of the bathroom. Then they head for the basement. When they got to the bottom the man was gone. They looked behind them and there both of the men were closing and locking the door so the brothers couldn't get out of the basement. So the brothers just started to turn around so they would be facing the basement again, and there he was. Another man was sitting on the couch just staring at them. They all had masks on so they couldn't tell who they were.
"What the heck just happened?" the younger one asks. "Well like you said, we don't know how many men are in this house." the older one answers. " We should take this one down first." the younger one demands. "Okay here we go." the older on replies.
They run as fast as they can at the man whose still just staring at them on the couch. When they get there they're on each side of him so he can't escape. Still just sitting on the couch, the man pulls out a hand gun. He points it at the boy.
"Noooo, don't pull the tr-" BANG!. The man pulled the trigger. The older one has his eyes closed. "Hahaha, wow that's pathetic." the little one says. The older one opens his eyes. "Oh wow, that is pretty pathetic for a guy who looks super scary." the older one laughs. The man has a flag that says bang on it sticking out of the gun.
The man pulls the trigger again, and the flag becomes a sharp bullet type thing flying straight at the little boy. The little boy dodged it.
"Huh? Uh-oh Run!" the little one says. "Quick grab the gun!" the older one says. "No way are you crazy? You grab it!" the little one yells.
So the older one grabs the gun and runs to the wall that is farthest away from the man. The older one turns around and pulls the trigger twice, the flag comes shooting out and hits the man straight in the heart. He hits the ground, and doesn't get back up.
"One down and who knows how many more to go." the older one says. "Hahaha, not funny." the little one says. "Well now that there's no more down here we should go up stairs." the older one says.
They both slowly walk up the stairs. Without either one of them touching the door, it opens. They almost fall down the stairs, because they're so scared.
"Hey? What is that? That thing at the top of the stairs, what- what is that?" the younger one says. "It looks like a huge ball of clothes. What I don't understand is why is it rolling straight at us?" the older brother asks. "I don't know but we should probably get out of the way!" the younger one answers.
They saw the first man and shot the flag at him. Then they went for the one at the top of the stairs with the ball.
"You're going down!" the older one says. "Yeah right!" the younger one shouts. The older one shoots the man at the top of the stairs, it was a direct hit.
"Nice hit bro. Now we should probably go upstairs." the younger one says.
They both walk upstairs to the older brothers room.
"Alright, we have already killed about three, but there still could be a lot more." said the older one. "I know we need to be cautious of what we do" the younger one says. "You know when we were watching the scary movies I thought that you were afraid of almost of everything. But now I see that you are brave like a warrior." said the older brother. "Thank you, but we need to focus on saving ourselves." the younger one says. "Alright well lets go." the older one replies.
They both slowly walk out of the room, the younger one behind the older one. Then out of nowhere a huge man grabs the older one and walks away.
The little brother was left behind for some reason, but the little boy was crying now that his brother had been stolen. But he was determined to get him back.
"I have to find them and get my brother back." he says.
He picks up the gun and runs down the stairs. When he gets close to the basement door he hears his brother screaming for help.
"Alright, here we go." he says
He runs down the stairs and sees the huge man sitting on the couch just staring at him.
"What do you want?! What do you want with me and my family!" he sobs.
The man points at a door that he had never seen before. He walks over to the door, and slowly opens it. When it's fully open, he sees that there is another basement to the basement! He walks down the stairs, and sees the most unpleasant sight in the world.
"This can't be real? I think I'm dreaming? Yeah probably, I'll just pinch myself and be awake back in my comfortable bed....... What? how'd it not work, that means this isn't a dream. Nooooooo." he yells.
He had seen a graveyard with dead people ghosts and just and endless demon world. He knew he had to do something about it.
"Sir, why do you show me that?" he asks. "That is my home. You and your family have been disturbing it for a very long time, and I would like it back. he answers. "Well, why didn't you just ask we would've gave it back?" he asks again "Nervous." the man answers. "Okay, well next time don't be afraid and just ask." he said. "Okay I will. Now I will have to take your brother back with me to my home." the man says. "Wait. Why? We are going to give you the house back and now you're just going to take my brother away?" the little boy asks. "Well, yeah I mean it's a demons job. To possess or eat humans." he answers. "But why, do you have to take my brother, just take me." the little one says. "Whatever you say." the man says.
The man puts the older on down and picks up the younger one. As the man is walking away, the little boy remembers the gun that he has. He takes the gun out of his pocket, and points it straight at the mans head. There are five flags left.
"Well here we go." the man says. "Not really." the little boy replies.
He pulls the trigger ten times, and five flags come flying out with sharp ends, and hits the man right where his brain is located. The man hits the floor, so the boy is free.
"You're not a demon? It looks like you're a real person?" the little boy questions.
The demon world was just a projected screen of it. The man was going to take him away from his family forever.
"Well, thank gosh you killed him." the older one says. "Yeah. Hey looks like I'm not afraid!" the little one happily remarks. "Yeah, I guess so." the older brother says.

The history of basketball
Basketball is one of my favorite sports besides football and wrestling of course. I even play wreck basketball. Basketball has been a very popular sport for a very long time. From Michael Jordan, and Magic Johnson to Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant.
Basketball was invented in December of 1891, by Canadian clergyman, educator, and physician, James Naismith. Naismith introduced the sport when he was an instructor at the Young Men's Christian Association Training School, (now known as Springfield college) in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The first ball was actually just a soccer ball. The teams had nine players all together. The goals were wooden peach baskets affixed to the walls. By 1897-1898, teams of five became standard. The game spread nationwide, Canada, and all over the world, played by both men and women.
A number of U.S. colleges adopted the game between 1883-1884, but they never played a game live in front of the millions of people that come to the games in the present. In 1934 the first college basketball game was staged in New York City's Madison Square Garden. After that, college games were starting to get highly interested by people nationwide. By the 1950's basketball had become a major college sport.
The first pro league, the National Basketball League, was formed in 1898 to protect players from exploitation and to promote a less rough game. This league only lasted five years before disbanding; it's demise spawned a number of loosely organized leagues throughout the northeastern United States. One of the first pro teams was the original Celtics, organized in 1915 in New York City. They played as many as 150 games a season and dominated basketball until 1936. The Harlem Globetrotters, founded in 1927, a notable exhibition team, specializes in amusing court antics and ball handling.
In 1949 two subsequent professional leagues, the National Basketball League (formed in 1937), and the Basketball Association of America (1946), merged to create the National Basketball Association. By the 1960's, pro teams from coast to coast played in front of crowds of many millions annually.
The NBA dropped it's popularity during the late 1970's, but was resuscitated, principally through the growing popularity of it's most prominent players.
Some people call basketball "Hoops", but in England hoops is one of there favorite games besides soccer or "futbol" hoops in England is known as croquet in America.
I love a lot of sports, and like I said basketball is definitely one of them. The history of basketball is very important to some people, and it's also very fascinating to me. The players are amazing, and just the fact of how it all started just startles me.
