I recently read the book "The Demonata: Lord Loss". I thought it was a crazy, but great book.
It was one night when Grubsitch "Grubbs" Grady got dropped of at his aunts house down the block. He didn't know why they brought him there, but as soon as they left the drive way he started to run back home. When he got there, his dad's chess boards were either broken, shattered, or laying all across the floor. He approached his parents room, the door was hot. Grubbs heard rips, snaps, and cracks, then one very deep evil laugh. He shot the door open as fast as he could. There were web strands all across every wall in the room. There was something dripping from the ceiling. His dad's head fell down. Without any thought, Grubbs screamed with shock. His mom was on the other side of the room. A crocodile head, with the human body, was ripping her apart. Then in the back of the room Grubbs could see my sister, Grubbs yelled at his sister to run to the door so they could escape. Then he realized, a huge dog was handling her like she was his chew toy, or bone.
From this passage me and Grubbs have nothing in common obviously. Throughout the book I can see that we are getting a lot more in common. He likes to hang out with his uncle a lot, I mean I don't think my uncle is a werewolf or anything but I love to hang out with him. Grubbs finds out that his friend Bill.E is his long lost brother, him and Bill.E love to go adventuring in the woods right in the back of the house, my brother and I usually go to the park and go to the woods and just walk through and see what amazing things we can find.
We also aren't very alike more than alike. Grubbs and his uncle go to the Demon world, play chess, and fight of three demons. Grubss brother Bill.E ans sister both turn into werewolves. After Grubbs experience with the Demons and parents, he had to go to a mental hospital. I've never even seen a mental hospital! When he fights the demons after his parents are dead, he finds out he has magic. I don't even know if magic is real in the real life?
I liked that in the book Grubbs uncle takes him out of the hospital, trains him for the fight of his life, and takes him in with care and protection. I like that his uncle brings him to his house, instead of just letting him go back, his uncles house is in a peaceful quiet town. I also like how they fight for Bill.E, Grubbs brother and Grubbs doesn't even know that he's his brother yet. I like how after the game of chess the uncle had to fight the demon. His body stayed with Grubbs in the real world, but not his soul. Grubbs didn't know how long he would be gone, or maybe he wouldn't even come back? Then one day Grubbs found blood on his face hair on his face and fingers, and dirt in his nails. He ran down stairs and headed for the phone for help. Then his uncle yelled at him to stop. He won! He beat the demon and came back!
I don't like how in the beginning when he sees his parents, they define it so much. I mean what I said his not what the book said, it was a lot worse. I just put it into better terms. I didn't really like the fact that they had to play the demon in five games a chess to save Bill.E from the werewolf curse. I mean chess, I mean come on really? I thought they were going to have to actually fight him. Well after the game of chess his uncle has to fight the demon. So the boy has to live by himself for who knows how long, his uncle may have never return.
Overall I thought it was a great book, as you can see. Although some I had nothing in common with and some I very well did. There were things I liked, and things that didn't really catch my attention or that really wasn't that good.
That book is demented..........
ReplyDeleteYeah read the title The DEMONata
ReplyDeleteNot be critical but why did you think the book was good? It sounds kind of odd to me.
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to read it first. Then you would understand why I myself liked it
ReplyDeleteI liked the way you tried to compare your self to the main character, but overall your response was really hard to follow and you kind of summarized almost the entire book, giving things away to people who might be thinking about reading it. But I think that it sounds like a good book.
