My Project

I finished and presented my project to my advisors. Here, I will list somethings I did or interesting things i earned through the process.

It was on music in different countries and how it has evolved over the passing years. I chose three countries America, Ireland, and Australia. I learned some very interesting facts about the music in these countries. In Australia the number one hit is Gold Digger By: Kanye West and they usually sing about there feelings towards the environment. In Ireland a lot of the instruments they use are very similar to ours. Like the bango, the bag pipes, or the bouzuki (a guitar in the shape of a pare and has a flat back. They started to sing about good times or important events when the British invaded Ireland. This has nothing to do but I found a very interesting fact about Michael Jackson, his first marriage was to Elvis Presley's only child! Anyways the record for instruments played in a song by one person, in the song " For you", Prince himself played 27 different instruments!!!

I also learned that American music is usually sang with one solo singer and an amount of back up singers. They usually just sing about whatever comes to mind, they don't sing about one thing in particular every time. Some of the instruments you know like the guitar, saxophone, or the drums. There is more than just the basics that you have heard and think are really cool. You probably know the keyboard, but do you know what you can do with it? In most songs the keyboard is the back up singer like in the song "Baller" also performed By: Kanye West. Yeah it's pretty weird I mean I didn't know that you could make a keyboard sing until I heard that song. You can even make a drum sound like it's singing b putting it in to your own pitch, there is a high medium and low pitch for every drum you just got to find the right place to hit the drum.

Well I talked to you about instruments, what they sing about, why they sing about it, and more interesting facts. This project was really fun as you can see.
