Country

Author’s note: I am writing to inform you on my opinion on our country, and if I am proud or not.

No, because our debt is super high, selfish people and our environment is really bad and is getting worse. There is also some things that I am definitely proud of, like so many volunteers to risk their lives for other people, even garbage men help this country a lot more than some other people.

First, our debt is over one trillion dollars and it’s still going up! We are spending money on things that we don’t really need. Do we really need five generations of ipods, or 10 different game boys? We need to think about what we are doing by spending all of this money.

Next, a lot of people in America are downright rude. There are so many simple nice things to do that nobody does anymore. Holding the door open for someone, helping them across the street.

Army men, firefighters, police men go out of their way to save people lives or their freedom. I’m not saying everyone has to go to Iraq and fight with them. All I’m saying is they need to take leadership and help some people out. Usually the firefighters are volunteers!

Most importantly, our environment is just horrible. Not very many people help pick up trash, or even care about what they are doing to the world. I understand that people try to get other people to help them but obviously they aren’t trying hard enough.

Garbage men going around collecting peoples and just trash laying on the ground, sometimes it is because they have to, but a lot of times they do it because they care. You see people every day walk by garbage and they don’t even stop to think about it, they just keep walking.

Yes, I am proud of my country in many ways. But at the same time I’m very disappointed in some of the people living in this country. I don’t understand, if we want rights, we should have to fight for them, we shouldn’t make the military go out of their way to fight for us. I thank them for doing so, but still they shouldn’t have to.

Slawter: Essay one for goals

Author’s note: I am writing to inform people on the book Demonata: Slawter.

Dervish had just returned from his epic battle with the king demon, Lord Loss. A movie producer, Davida Haym asks Dervish, Grubbs, and Bill- E to come and do the movie with her. What they don’t know is that she signed a deal with Lord Loss that if she got them to come, she would stay alive.

First, Dervish accepted it because he thought it would get his mind off of the demon world. Grubbs finds out about that deal, he tells Dervish and Bill- E. But they don’t believe him. So one day Grubbs takes them to see what Davida was really up to. When they both see what she is doing, they try to hurry up and get out of the set.

Also, when they try to run it’s a little late for that. The demons have already started killing innocent pedestrians. When they all see what’s happening they know they will have to fight them. While Grubbs and Bill- E are fighting off the demons, Dervish is creating a portal to the demon world to try to get them to go back.

Finally, by creating the portal Dervish let even more demons in the real world. Dervish finds out some of the people on the set are wizards as well. Dervish creates a barrier so that the demons cannot kill any more people. Grubbs and Bill- E try to find a way out of the demon world without any demons getting out of the portal. They eventually find a way out, when they get out of the portal, Grubbs arm is stuck in the portal, so Dervish uses his magic to get it out.

I thought that Slawter was a really good book. My favorite part was when Dervish finds out that more people on set are wizards as well, and then they all make the portal together. It felt like you were there with them as they were fighting off these demons.

Listening to music

Author’s note: I am writing to persuade teachers that they should be able to listen to music.

People and teachers don’t think that listening to music is good for you. Some teachers hate it when you are listening to music while working on an essay or other work. A lot of people just don’t think that listening to music is all that sophisticated. I’ll be talking about some reasons why listening to music is good for you. Emotions, sleep, and even while working at school. I believe that listening to music is definitely good for you. I’m not saying that you have to listen to it all the time, I’m just saying a lot of times it’s good to listen to some music.
First, if you have some mixed emotions going through your head listening to music gets your mind off of the problem. Say is you were sad; you would most likely listen to a fun and fast song like Party Rock Anthem. If you were angry you might listen to a rock song like In the End.
Next, a lot of times music gets you to fall asleep if you are tired and trying to get to sleep. Parents all around the world have their infants listen to slow or quiet music to get them to fall asleep. Even some older people in mid’ 20’s-30’s listen to music to get them to fall asleep.
Most importantly, when you are working on homework or any school work, listening to music gets you to concentrate more on the homework than talking to your friend sitting next to you When you’re listening to the music you don’t want to talk to anyone, you just want to listen to the song and focus on what you’re currently doing.
Listening to music while doing your work gets you to concentrate more on the work than talking to your friend sitting next to you. When I am working and listening to music I don’t want anyone bothering me, and I just want to focus on what I am doing at the moment. I know for a fact that if I were to bother someone while they were working and listening to their music they would get pretty mad at me.

Italian Revenge

It was my sixth birthday; my parents had gotten me an Al Pacino birthday cake. While they were all singing happy birthday to me, there was a knock at the door. It was the Police, knowing what was about to happen I ran to my room. I heard a bunch of yelling, then two bangs. I slowly opened the door to see the horrifying sight of my parents bleeding to death. After that, I had nowhere else to go, so I lived on the streets. I went through school every year a kid who was disliked and got into a lot of trouble.

When I was about eighteen years old I got a few friends, but I knew these friends were troublemakers even more than I was. But I didn’t have any friends so I chose them. We split apart when I went to college as they stayed back for another year. In college right away I made a bunch of friends, I played football, basketball, and starred in track. I was in college for about five years, and then I got my diploma. After that I got a job and that was it.

One day at the shop I met a lady about my age, I knew right then that she was the one. I took her out to a nice restaurant for dinner one night, after a couple of years we got married and had kids. I was now a family guy. It was my son’s tenth birthday he was tall and played even more sports than I did. That night the cops had showed up at the door, only to tell me that all of my high school friends had been killed in a mob war.

I wanted revenge, so the next day I went to the local mobsters and said I want in. They let me in only because they knew who I was and knew my father personally. After a few months of killing people sending stuff, buying stuff I knew it was time to get revenge. I stocked up on all of the guns I could find and headed out. I ran into a couple of my college friends on the way there; they were a part of the enemy mobsters, so I told them to bring me to the one who is in charge.

When we got there I was starting to think it was a bad idea, but I still felt like I had to do it. I went to the boss and asked to speak in private; everyone in the room had left so now it was my turn. I had a silencer on my gun so no one could hear the loud bang. I walked out of the room with one gun in each hand pointed in two directions. I shot almost everyone in the room, and then I feel the blood gushing out of me. I fall to the ground, I look up to see who it was, and it was my wife. I feel so stupid; I should’ve known that this was going to happen sooner or later.
