The Reformed Vampire Support Group

Author's Note: For our independent reading book in Book Club, I chose "The Reformed Vampire Support Group". This is my first response on the first fifty pages that was assigned to us. I will be writing about one of the character's that really caught my attention.

Going to sleep as soon as you see the sun peeking up. Being fifty-one years old, and still looking as if you were fifteen. Walking up and down the streets at night thirsty for the slightest bit of blood. That's what Nina feels everyday. All she wants is a normal life, but she can't and, why you may ask?  While she was actually fifteen in 1986, Casimir infected her. Casimir "was" one of the most evil vampires who ever lived. Ever since then she has been a blood thirsty vampire.

Nina and her friends that she met over the years have a group, "The Reformed Vampire Support Group". They are all in this group because at one point in time the were all crazed blood suckers, they made this group to stop that from happening so much. Everyone in this group is fine with being a vampire, actually they seem pretty human, and not just to fit in the support group is almost like a rehab center for vampires. Now, like I said everyone in the group is fine with being a vampire, except for Nina. She always look into houses watching families having fun with there children, that's all she ever wanted in her life.

Nina has a favorite person out of this group. His name is Sandrof, he is the leader of the support group. He has helped Nina through all of her problems ever since she was infected. Although Nina hates being a vampire, she loves most of the people in the support group as if they were her family.

Nina writes stories about a vampire girl resembling her. She calls her Zidia Bloodstone. Everyone in the group wants humans to except them, but they think Nina's stories are making it worse. But she never listened, because she loves the stories.

Moe's Southwest Grill

It was one day in the AMAZING town of Pewaukee. When all the people were asleep in there beds or wherever they sleep. Tom got the keys out of his pocket and unlocked the doors, when he walked in he could already smell the plentiful pinto beans, and the spicy hot salsa. It was as if he were in his own heaven "Moe's".

He walks into the kitchen to wash his hands and get ready for work. When he put that apron on he felt like he was the king of the world. Tom wanted to see if all of the ingredients were good or bad. He put on his special latex gloves and got ready for the most epic battle ever, "The Homewrecker".  First he took the giant tortilla shell, and heated it up with his mystical powers. Second he took the tortilla and put rice, pinto beans, chicken, cheese, salsa, and lettuce. It was literally the biggest thing he had ever seen, he called it the living burrito.

Tom loved his chips and special queso, so he stacked up on some of that. He sat down at the table, turned on the t.v. with some sports. He went to take the biggest bite out of it, when the phone rang. "Bring Bring! Bring Bring! Bring Bring!". "Hello, Moe's Southwest Grill how may I help you?" Tom asks. "Yes, this is Brett Danner. I just wondering if I could rent out the whole place for me and my friend Xavier?" Brett asks in reply. " Ummmmm, may I ask what this is for" Tom asks. "I've told you too much already just have thirty homewreckers by the time we get there." Brett replies and hangs up.

Tom rapidly finishes his burrito that took awhile to perfectly make, and he thought that was a challenge. Now Brett wants thirty of them by whatever time he's going to get there. There is a big tortilla stack at the end of the room. Tom walks so it is in his sight. He holds his holster as if a gun were in it. "You're going down." Tom says. He whips thirty huge tortillas on to the counter once again, rice, pinto beans, chicken, lettuce, salsa, and cheese.

As Tom is just finishing them, Brett walks into Moe's. "Do you have the stuff?" Brett asks. "Only if you have the money." Tom Replies. "Awww man I forgot it at home! I'll be right back." Brett cries. Tom has one tortilla left, he thinks to himself maybe I should make one more for myself. He grabs the tortilla and once again, rice, pinto beans, chicken, lettuce, salsa, and cheese. He takes his time this time around. Tom takes his first bite, and forgets what he is doing and and around the left turn he crashes into the guard rail. "Cautions OUT!" yells the crowd. Then Tom is back in Moe's he was almost done with the burrito when Brett walked in again. "Hey, do you take credit cards?" Brett asks. "No not anymore." Tom replies. "Dangit! Okay, okay I will just go to the bank." says Brett. "The bank is closed today." says Tom. "Are you freaking kidding me?! I'll be right back again!" Brett says.

Tom didn't really know what to do at this point. So he just took all of the homewreckers, when out of nowhere a giant hippo ate Tom. The hippo smelt the burritos and he wanted them really bad. That was the end of the most cool day ever for Tom.
